I think the singer is singing to a man who she loved. The singer loved the man, but she realized that the man didn’t truly love her, because “well, you couldn’t be that man I adored” and “you don’t seem to know, don’t seem to care what your heart is for” are in this song. And I think the singer and the man couldn’t be with each other because of his dead love. So, she started singing about the relationship between her and the man to forget him. This music video expresses the relationship between her and the man as a scene in a drama. When the man came close to the singer, a bald man changed the position of the man to the correct position. So, I can say the music video expresses the difference between her love and his love. She loved truly him, but he didn’t.
In the last part of this music video, I can see the drama sets are taken down. I think this part expresses that her love is over perfectly. But I can see the set which isn’t taken down yet. And the two scenes are repeated. So, I think this scene expresses that she wants to forget him but she can’t. And she and the man stand next to each other in the last scene, but the two people don’t look each other. I think this scene expresses that the dry feelings of them, because I can see “my inspiration has run dry” in this song.
After this music video, I think she won’t try to find anyone for a while anyone, because she was hurt by his imitation love.
Through this music video, her feelings are expressed as drama scenes. She and the man’s love was “a drama”, it wasn’t true love. When I read the lyrics, I thought that the man’s dead love is the cause of her sadness. And I was assured that the cause of her sadness was his dead love when I saw this music video.
I think this song expresses that she and her boyfriend’s love was over and his love for her was an imitation, and she wants to forget him.
I would like to say about words which are used by her. She uses very direct words. So, I think that she got angry with her boyfriend’s behavior or thinking. For example, she uses “dumb“, “ugly“, “cut it out” and “grab.”
And in this song, there are a lot of irony. For example, “But you put on quite a show“,”Very entertaining” or “Oh, and the award for the best liar goes to you.” By using these irony, she might want to express her feelings for him. And I think she might look down on him and feel frustrated, because he hurt her feelings.
She represents the love as a show. And “Curtains finally closin’” expresses that the love was completely closed. So, she may want say that the love doesn’t be repaired any more.
This music video was so sad. She isn’t interested in him but, he tries to apologize to her. And in the video, there are two scenes. One of the scenes is that she is standing in the black scenery, the other scene is expressing the relationship between her and him. In the black scenery, she is standing with her arms crossed and she makes very severe face. And she does very ironical gesture when “That was quite a show.”
I think that many people can sympathize with this song.
I think this song says us that we have to express myself clearly and have confidence in myself. And I think Katy Perry wanted us to realize that there is no one who can replace us.
In this song, there are a lot of questions for us. And the contents concern many people expeirences. So, I think that she wanted to tell us “everyone have felt these feelings, so don’t hate yourfelf” through these questions.
And I think that “a firework” represents our talents or chracteristics. So, in this song, I think she wanted us to realize our good points or personality which nobody has.
And, I think she wanted to encourage us by this sentence; “After a hurricane, comes a rainbow.” I think this sentence means that even if we have some terrible experiences, we can get over these experiences.

Once upon a time, there was a little rabbit. Her name was Snow. Snow lived in the forest and had some friends. She was so cute.
One day, Snow was trapped in a castle, because a bad witch caught her in the forest. And the bad witch brought Snow to the castle. The bad witch would like to eat Snow.
So, Snow cried every day. Snow wanted to go back to the forest and play with her friends.
Two days later, a giraffe passed by the castle. His name was Spot. Spot and Snow was friends. Spot saw Snow through a window. Snow was crying.
Spot thought he wanted to rescue her from the castle. But Spot didn’t know what to do.
When Spot thought about the way to rescue, an angel came down from the sky.
An angel said to Spot, “I can help you to rescue Snow.” “Thank you. But, how do you help me?” Spot said. “I can teach you how to fly. After you learn how to fly, you can rescue Snow from the castle,” an angel said.
Spot practiced with an angel again and again. But, he couldn’t fly.
Spot cried, because he thought he couldn’t save Snow. Then, Spot cried himself to sleep. He dreamed.
In the dream, Snow said to Spot “Please rescue me. I would like to get out of here and live together with you.”
After Spot woke up, he started practicing how to fly again. Spot tried to fly again and again.
Then, Spot got wings like angels’ wings. Spot was so happy to get wings. An angel said to Spot “I will give you wings, because you tried again and again to fly for your friend.”
After Spot got wings, he went to the castle to rescue Snow.
Spot tried to enter the castle. But Spot couldn’t enter, because there was the bad witch near Snow. So, Spot decided to enter the castle from the top of the castle quietly.
When Spot entered the castle, the witch didn’t notice him. So, Spot lifted Snow on his back and he got out of the castle.
Spot and Snow went to the sky. Spot said to an angel “Thank you. I could rescue Snow.” “You were so brave. And you are so kind to help your friend. Don’t lose your kindness,” an angel said to Spot. Then, Spot and Snow went down from the sky, and they lived with their friends in friendship.
Early in the morning, Mr. Bean is sleeping and the alarm clock starts ringing. He turns off the alarm clock by putting it into a glass of water. And the alarm clock stops ringing,so he goes back to sleep again. Then, the tea maker starts and hot water going through a hose hits his foot, but he stops the coming hot water by using his big toe and he still sleeps. And it becomes about ten minutes to nine. He gets up and sleepwalks but he makes up his bed. When he is sleepwalking, he hits his head on the pillar. Then he is awake, so he moves his arms and sits down his bed to put on his slippers. And he goes over to the window and he thinks it’s a beautiful day. Then he turns his arms and he put his hand on the washbowl and leans on it. And he does the same with the opposite hand and leans. After that, he turns on the light and he starts shaving his face. When he is shaving, the shaving machine catches his nose hairs, so he has to cut it by using scissors. After he cut himself, he opens his closet which is next to the washbowl. And he takes his jacket out and he puts it on his bed. Then, he brings the wet alarm clock to the washbowl and he hangs it up to dry. After that, he notices the note which is attached to the hanger. The picture of a mouth and the time of 9:00 are written on the note. He remembers that he has to go the dentist by 9:00. So, he is upset. He takes his cloth, jacket, shoes and toothbrush and leaves his room wearing his pajamas. And he comes back to his room shortly to softly put the blanket on the stuffed animal which is sleeping on Mr. Bean’s pillow. And then, he leaves his room quickly.
He leaves his home and goes to his car. He opens his car’s door and throws his clothing into his car. Then he starts to get in the car, but he turns around and goes back to the front to get a brick and then he drives off. He starts driving and makes a u-turn, but his car hits some trash cans which were in front of his car. In his car, he starts to dress while he is driving. He takes off his pajama top and he puts on a white shirt. But, he can’t thread easily his right arm with the sleeve. After that, he tries to button cuff links but he nearly runs off the road. He wants to wear his pants, so he puts the brick on the accelerator. And he moves to the back seat and uses his feet to drive. And he buttons his pants while driving with his feet. And he turns on the winker with his right foot. And he keeps on driving with his feet and he is still on the back seat, so it looks like there is no one who is driving the car. He puts on his jacket and tries to put socks on his feet. When he puts on socks, he sounds the horn with foot. After he put on his socks, he moves to the front seat and he puts on his tie. And then his car goes round and round a roundabout while he puts on his shoes. After he put on his shoes,brick and his car goes straight. And he wants to brush his teeth, so he hols the steering wheel with his teeth and he tries to squeeze toothpaste on his toothbrush. But, he can’t put the toothpaste on the toothbrush. He puts the toothpaste on the dashboard, and he scoops it up with his toothbrush. Then he brushes his teeth seeing the side mirror. And he rinses his mouth by using the water which is in the windshield wiper. And he spits the water from his mouth and the water hits a man’s backside. The man is on the street and he smells it, thinking it is bird droppings. He reaches the goal and he tries to park, but there is a blue car in the only parking space, so he pushes the blue car out of the space to park. When he gets out of his car, and a police woman comes and gives a ticket to the car Mr.Bean just pushed out. The woman gazes at the fastener of his pants because his fastener is opened and his pajama is sticking out from his pants. So, he pulls them out and put it on his car. After that, he goes to the dentist.
Mr. Bean enters the room. There are a dentist and his assistant. He sits down the chair to be cure. The assistant puts something a bib around his neck. The dentist turns on the classical music. Mr. Bean accidentally presses the button to recline the seat. He tries to find the button to raise the seat. The dentist doesn’t notice because he has his back turned to Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean disappears from the screen, because he reclines too much. He finally gets back to the proper position. He hurries up and raises just before the dentist turns around. And Mr. Bean pretends that he was always sitting in the proper position while the dentist turns back to Mr. Bean. The dentist comes to Mr. Bean with an xray Mr. Bean’s teeth. The dentist turns on the light to light Mr. Bean’s mouth and the dentist takes the suction tool to dry Mr Bean’s mouth. Then the dentist puts the tool into Mr. Bean’s mouth. After that, the dentist touches Mr. Bean’s bad tooth to make sure whether the tooth is the real bad teeth or not. The tooth is real bad tooth, so Mr. Bean springs because of the pain. Then, the dentist turns his back on Mr. Bean again, so Mr. Bean takes the suction tool. And he touches his cheeks and his tongue and then he cleans his jacket using the tool. And, he sucks up the dentist’s drink by using the tool. Just then, the dentist turns around, and when the dentist looks at the cup which is now empty, he doubts Mr. Bean. And then, the dentist gives Mr. Bean an anesthetic by injection to his mouth. After that, Mr. Bean loses the feeling in his mouth because of the anesthetic. And Mr. Bean takes the syringe, but the dentist comes back to Mr. Bean immediately, so Mr. Bean hides the injection under his right leg. When the dentist touches Mr. Bean’s bad tooth, Mr. Bean gives accidentally injects the dentist’s leg with the anesthetic. The dentist’s leg falls asleep, so he can’t stand. The dentist tries to hold on to a machine, but he falls down with the machine and is knocked out. So, the dentist can’t fix Mr. Bean’s bad tooth so Mr. Bean tries to fix it himself. He checks the picture of his mouth. There is a red mark on the picture. He thinks the mark expresses the place of the bad tooth. So, he makes sure which one is the bad teeth by counting the teeth from the left side. And he takes the tool to drill into the teeth and test the power of the tool. The tool is so powerful. After that, he drills into the bad tooth by using the drill. It looks so painful. After he drilled, he put filling in his drilled tooth. But, he realizes the picture is reversible. So, he counts again and drills a tooth on the other side. After that he puts filling in his drilled tooth. But, he realizes the picture is upside down. He doesn’t want to count again, so he drills all his teeth. And he puts filling on all his teeth. He closes his mouth, so his jaws are stuck together. He can’t separate his stuck teeth, so he tries to separate by using a pallet. But pallet brokes. When the dentist gets up, Mr. Bean is surprised and he can separate the teeth. And then, Mr. Bean leaves the room and give a bib to the dentist. The dentist looks so surprising.
He is a very famous person in America, because he produces many films. Why is he so famous? Since his movies are only black-and –white movies, he is so famous. He liked watching black-and white movies when he was a child, because his father had many collections of black-and –white movies. But, when he was a university student, he didn’t have any chance to watch black-and-white movies because he lived away from his parents. He studied about movie in his university to be a director. After he graduated from his university, he didn’t have any job, because he wanted to practice to make many movies. One day, he found an advertisement of movie competition. He decided to send his movies to the competition. His black-and-white movie was selected as the first prize. Then, he could become a famous director. After he was known by many people, he made only black-and- white movies. Even now, he makes black-and-white movies, so people can watch these movies any time.
She is a famous person in America. Her profession is a director of preschool. When she was young, she was a normal kindergarten teacher. She wanted to change the system of kindergarten. So, she decided to become a director of the preschool to change the system. It was not easy to become a director, but, she studied hard. After became a director, she started some thing. She decided to talk with all kindergarten pupil and write letters to kids every month. Pupils were pleased every time and their parents were also pleased and trusted her. Many parents who have children wanted to let their children enter the preschool. She says every day,” every kids is my family.”
I use the room with my sister. So, there are two desks and our desks are next to each other on the wall of east. And a big closet is on the wall of south, and there are windows on north. Our bed is a double-deck bed and it is on the wall of west. And there is a square table in the center of our room, and there are two Japanese cushions. The curtains on the windows are tropical pattern. I like the curtains. My sister likes stuffed animals, so she always puts stuffed animals on near her pillow,but I really don’t like put something on near my pillow. So, there is nothing. I would like to put TV on my room, but I can’t because TV may prevent us from studying.
This survey was conducted on 20 people including university students. 85 percent said that they have breakfast everymorning and of those who love to eat breakfast. And 45 percent of them answered that they like eating rice as breakfast, 30 percent said that they love bread, and 15 percent said that they like eating cereals. Recently, it is said that Japanese people have few chances to have rice. So, we can see that Japanese people like bread as much as rice byseeing the result of survey.
55 percent of people answered that they don’t cook lunch for themselves, with another 40 percent of those surveyed saying that they don’t have dinner with their families. I can think there are two reasons why people don’t cook lunch and they don’t have dinner with their families. The first reason is that there are some people who live by themselves, and so can’t afford to cook lunch every morning and are not with their family, so they can’t have dinner with them. The second reason is that there are increasing chances to eat out with their friends in university.
50 percent of them answered that they often cook Japanese, 20 percent said that they often cook Chinese and 30 percent of people said that they often cook other kinds of food. The same percentage of responses was found when I asked people what kind of menu they can cook well. So, I can think that the menus which they often cook can be their good menus.
I asked people about dinner. 90 percent of those surveyed cook dinner less than four times a week. The result said that they don’t have enough time to cook dinner because of their part-time jobs or it is late to go back to their home. 70 percent of people answered that they go out for dinner less that three times a week, and 20 percent of people said that they go out for dinner more than three times a week.
And three fourths people answered that their best dinner is Japanese dinner. 25 percent of people’s best dinner is Chinese food. One fourths people answered their best dinner is Italian dinner. The rest of percent people said that their best dinner is French.
By seeing this survey, I can see three things. The first thing is that there are many students who like rice and Japanese food. The second thing is that it may be difficult for university students who live by themselves to cook for themselves everyday. The last thing is that people who often cook can be good at cooking and the menu which is cooked by the person can be the best menu to cook. To be adults, we have to learn to cook some well. So, if there are people who cannot cook, I think the people should practice cooking.
